

Otto J. Faden, age 70, of Concord, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. Born November 26, 1941 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Otto Faden and Anna McDonnell Faden. After serving in the U.S. Army National Guard and graduating from Queen’s College, NY, Otto worked as a computer programmer and systems analyst until his retirement in 2004. He was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and served for many years as a volunteer for Cabarrus Meals on Wheels. Otto enjoyed reading, traveling and golf.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Frances Florio Faden; daughter, Jennifer Faden White and her husband, Brad, of Belmont; son, William Otto Faden of Hildebran; and nieces Teresa McKeever and Mary Walsh. In addition to his parents, Otto was preceded in death by his two sisters, Anna Marie Carroll and Sarah McKeever.
The memorial mass to celebrate the life of Otto J. Faden will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 6th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cabarrus Meals on Wheels, 1701 S. Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
