After receiving her Masters degree she worked at Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing teaching young students to follow their passion in the medical field.
After teaching for over 20 years she felt a new passion to help people that were struggling with homelessness and drug and alcohol addiction. She then decided to go to Queens College in Charlotte, NC to study counseling. After earning her masters degree from Queens College, she went to work at Charlotte Rescue Mission this was a real passion of hers and worked here until 78 years old.
