I learned about Patty's death after worship at St. Vincent de Paul Church today.  She was one of my first client when I began my career as a travel agent back in 1992.  I recall booking a cruise for Patty and Richard Graham.  I am happy to hear their mutual friendship continued until her death.  My sympathy goes out to Patty's family and Richard Graham.

My Aunt Patty,
First and foremost she was a spiritual woman.  She was Catholic and prided herself in her religious beliefs.  She was also a kind and giving woman who endured immense heartache during her life, but somehow kept her heart open to her family, friends and loved ones.  One of her most cherished gifts is that she was an artist.  She could see the beauty in any landscape or view.

What I remember most is my aunt painting on the deck of our beach rental at Ocean Isle.  She would sit quietly and sketch and paint.  The rest of our family would wait in anticipation and awe to see her results.

I remember so much of what Aunt Patty taught me as a child; "Always put Fritos on a sandwich, especially bologna!" and " Always wear a party dress when you have the chance."

My Aunt Patty was an artist.  Artists look at the world in a different way and my Aunt Patty saw things through her artist eyes.  We, as a family, are so lucky that we had a glimpse and that we had the opportunity not only to love and know her, but we were given a true artists view of the world.  We will always love her!
