Patricia Roberta Wichnoski

Patricia Roberta (nee McCloskey) Wichnoski, age 83, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on November 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Burlington, New Jersey, Patricia was a devoted wife of 64 years, a nurturing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Her greatest joys were hosting family gatherings and baking her legendary bread and pizzelles for her church, family, and friends. Known for never meeting a stranger, she welcomed everyone with smiles, giggles, and a warm heart that made them feel like family. Patricia was a pillar in her church community, where she orchestrated Easter egg hunts and helped organize bake sales and yard sales. She loved hosting holiday tea parties and cookie exchanges. She will be greatly missed and loved forever.

Patricia was the daughter of the late Joseph and Roberta (nee Hawkey) McCloskey. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kelly Ann Hoosier, and her brothers and sisters: Billy, Jack, Tommy, Matthew, Ralph, Robert, Joseph & Donald McCloskey, Florence Bruce, Alice Howell, Catherine Canduci, Margaret Bowker, and Eleanor DeSante.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bruno John Wichnoski, Jr.; her sons, Bruno John Wichnoski III and his wife Jeanne, Steven Wichnoski and his wife Cheryl, and David Wichnoski and his wife Wendy. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Krystal Wichnoski, Caitlin Davis (and husband Adam, and soon-to-be son/daughter), Connor Wichnoski, and Shane Hoosier (husband of the late Kelly Hoosier). Her great-grandchildren include Alexa, DJ Moore, Grifyn (and wife Brook), JonStevin, and Zane Hoosier. She leaves behind great-great-grandchildren Lydia and Nyah Hoosier.
