Patsy S Trull

Mrs. Patsy Sweet Hay Trull, 82, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at University Health and Rehabilitation. She was the daughter of the late Peyton Bruce Sweet and the late Cora Freeze Sweet.

Patsy was called as Organist of Midwood Baptist Church in 1961, serving more than 50 years. She also retired from Ryerson Steel after 39 years.

Patsy was a member of The Order of Eastern Star, Mizpah Chapter No. 36. She served as Past Worthy Matron, various Grand Chapter Committees, Chapter offices including Organist.

Other organizations included, the Order of the Amaranth, Carolina court No. 10. She served as past Grand Royal Musician of the State of North Carolina; Past Royal Matron of Carolina Court No. 10 and various Court offices, including Musician. The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and Greene Shrine No. 3.

She is predeceased by her previous husband, William Hunter Hay, IV; 3 siblings, Evelyn S. Danner, Ruth S. Caldwell, Dorothy Hope Sweet and Ross Sweet.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Charles Bradford Trull; 3 children, Dr. William Hunter Hay V, (Sharon), Karen Elizabeth Hay, and Charles D. Trull (Jenny). She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00AM Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208, with visitation from 10AM to 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
