Paul attended parochial school in St. Helens, England. He went on to pursue higher education at The University of Salford, completing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. His two beloved children, Gemma and Adam were born in England.
In 1999, Paul emigrated with his family to the United States in pursuit of advancing his professional career. Through the years, he lived in New Jersey, Vermont, North Carolina and Kentucky before returning to England with his wife, Maria Theresa Ropic. They lived in Windsor, England for two years and pursued their mutual passion for travel and new cultures while abroad. Retiring back to North Carolina to be near his children, Paul spent the last two years of his life understanding that nothing is more important than family, happiness, love and a good scotch.
Paul is survived by his wife, Maria Theresa Ropic; mother, Doreen Galloway Ropic; children, Gemma Ropic, Adam Ropic, daughter-in-law, Courtney; and three loving grandchildren, Hunter, Trenton and Madison Sewell.
A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 8, 2021 in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Home @ Myers Park. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
