Aunt Pauline was always a ray of sunshine and could make your day with some funny story from the past or a snappy comeback.  She was an inspiration to us all and she will be  missed!

I never met a more resourceful, smart, funny person.  She was always Polly to me & we had such fun times.  I'll never forget her.  RIP dear one!

So sorry to learn of your loss.  Please know that thoughts and prayers of friends are with you and your family during this time.

I always knew Aunt Pauline but did not really know and appreciate her until later in life.  I think it started when she opened her closet and I saw at least a dozen beautiful suits(in plastic) that she had made. I think I gasped, you actually made these? Yes, she said, like it was nothing.
Then. I learned from a neighbor that she had been chef over the Executive Dining Room at Western Electric. I wondered, what else does she do? I found out when Uncle Cecil was so sick, by all the love and care she gave him.

She made life look fun and easy. What a gift you gave us all.

With deepest sympathy, and sincere condolences to the family.  May the God of tender mercies comfort you during your time of bereavement.

The few times I was in Mrs. Polly's presence I was amazed at her quick wit and sense of humor.  Even though I have known her and Jean for about 3 years, I just wish I had known her longer.  She was always a joy to be around.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Bowers family.

Where do I begin?  Aunt Polly was a part of my life for the most of my life.  She was like a 2nd Mom to me after my Mother passed away and she was my best buddy also.  We could talk about anything, everything.  I never left her house empty handed...always left with something out of the garden or some kind of jam or something she had canned earlier.  Once I met her at Shomar's on Eastway Drive to have lunch..she was to meet me there when she finished Christmas shopping..and, so she did..she was in the lead car going back to her house and I could hardly keep up with her...she had the pedal to the metal..Then, we had a wonderful mountain trip...she packed a picnic (was like a 7 course dinner) and of course, had the thermos of hot coffee.  We went to the ham house in Triplett and bought hams.  She always had a joke to tell me and here sense of humor was priceless.  And, she knew how to do everything (it seemed that way).  She and Uncle Cecil had the ideal marriage and they loved each other so much.  I'm sorry to say that I have lost my best friend and mentor.  I'm going to miss her so much.
RIP Aunt Polly and when we meet again, please have that thermos of hot coffee made for me.
