Peggy Caston Burnette

She was born June 23, 1931 to the late William T. and P. Edna Snipes Caston in Lancaster County, SC and was a member of Central Church of Charlotte and past member of Kings Way Baptist and Northside Baptist Churches. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister but her ministry in life was to offer comfort and encouragement to everyone she met.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph “Charlie” Burnette and her daughter, Beverly Burnette Parker. She is survived by her son, W. Steve Burnette (Kim) of Charlotte, NC, and daughter, Robin Burnette Ayscue of Concord, NC, as well as four granddaughters, Amy Parker Motz (Joey), Holly Parker Williams (T.J.), Rebecca Parker Shaw (Jarid) and Ashley Hope Ayscue. She also has five great-grandchildren who brought much joy to her life: Ben Motz, Shelby Motz, Noah Williams, Caroline Williams and Brielle Shaw.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park at 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park.
