Mrs. Helms worked for J. P. Stevens for more than 30 years and Iron Mountain.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Small and brothers, Jerry Doby, Pee Wee Doby and Lewis Doby.
She is survived by one child, Carol (Terry) Brosi of Goldsboro, North Carolina; her beloved grandchildren, Bubba (Beth), Jessica (Lee), and Nicholas (Melanie); and her beloved great grandchildren, Landon, Julia, Savannah and Peyton
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 9th at 2 pm at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 3 pm in the Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Mr. Terry Brosi will officiate.
