Peggy Ann Russell

Peggy Ann Russell, 62, loving and beautiful daughter, mother, nana, sister & friend died Monday July 21, 2014 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews. She was born on June 3, 1952 in Charlotte the daughter of the late Nathan N. and Florence Bostian Edwards. Peggy retired from Wells Fargo after 20 plus years of employment. She loved gardening and flowers and was an artist in her own right and she loved the Lord. She was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church, Charlotte and the National Alliance for the Mentally ILL. She was a true example of Unconditional love.

She is survived by her children: James Russell, Benjamin Russell, Mandy Russell and Jonathan Chamblin and his wife Nadia all of Charlotte. She is also survived by three sisters, Joyce Tully, Marty Austin Thomas, Susan Bartenfeld and a brother Phil Edwards. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Joseph, Noah, Liam and Elijah. A period of visitation will be held on Saturday July, 26, 2014 from 1-3 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at Sharon Memorial Park at 3 PM.
