Peter Bradford Gove

Mr. Gove, age 60, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center - Mercy. Born June 26, 1952 in Framingham, MA, he was a son of Betty Fales Gove Sibley and the late Paul Bradford Gove. Mr. Gove served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an engineer of Duke Energy for 35 years.

The memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 13th at McEwen Funeral Service - Derita Chapel with Reverend Linda Bowman, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Doris Miller Gove; children, David Gove, Rick Scercy and wife, Nancy, Wendy Scercy Dye and Jeffrey Scercy; mother, siblings, Brian Gove and wife, Rani, Michele Gove, Lani Idman and Darrel Gove; grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Alyssa Scercy and Madison Scercy; former wife and David’s mother, Sharon Basel; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28207.
