He was a mentor to others through his local Alcoholics Anonymous organizations. He will be remembered for his selfless love and caring for his wife (Gale), who battled dementia for many years. In addition, he had a great passion for ice cream and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. He always had a pen and paper on him to take a note, and he loved his dogs, Boots and Amber, who he walked daily.
