

Charlotte - Phedora “Ann” Wheeler Saline, 75, of Charlotte, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 31, 1940 in Charlotte, the daughter of the late Carl Wheeler and Julia Wheeler Farr, step-daughter of the late Hugh Farr, and beloved wife of the late Marvin H. Saline.
Mrs. Saline graduated from the last graduating class of Charlotte Central High School. She was in the 1963 graduating class of Carolina’s College of Health Sciences, formerly Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. As a nurse, she cared for patients at McLeod Infirmary in Florence, SC, as well as Carolinas Medical Center and Sharon Towers Retirement Community in Charlotte.
Survivors include daughters, Julie Saline Kulas (Tony) of Greenville, NC and Jennifer Saline Harrison (Trey) of Charlotte, NC and stepson, Frank Alan of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Saline Elizabeth, Hadleigh Ann, and Helms Anthony of Greenville, NC; and dogs, Tucker and Mariah.
The service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:30 in the afternoon, on Sunday, March 13th at Dilworth United Methodist Church, 605 East Blvd., with Reverend Karen Easter Bayne officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall. Interment in the church columbarium will be private.
