Philip M. Eason “Phil” died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday July 2, 2014. He was born on October 27, 1941 in Charlotte the son of the late Calvin Edward and Mary Merritt Eason. Phil attended East Mecklenburg High School and was an Eagle Scout. He retired from Folger Automotive and was an avid deer and turkey hunter. He was a member of the Matthews Masonic Lodge #461.
He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Rice Eason. He is survived by his children Atonia, Philip, Nicole and Ana. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and his sister, Karen Eason of Mint Hill.
A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM followed by a celebration of Phil’s life at 2:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte. Entombment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum.
