Phyllis Elaine Jackson Haugh, aged 74, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2019. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1944, raised in Hamburg, NY and settled in Charlotte, NC in 1974. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband, James William Haugh; significant other, Albert Lee Waterman; and her parents, Harry William and Blanche Ferree Jackson.
Phyllis was an avid reader and an excellent cook. If you stopped by her house, chances were good that she would be watching the Cooking Chanel. Even after she retired from Hendrick Honda she still enjoyed going back to take lunch to “her guys”.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Tanner and husband Drew of Charlotte, Julie Haugh of Shoreview, MN and Karen Wright and husband David of Indian Trail. Also her brothers, Russell Jackson of Charlotte and Richard Jackson and wife Dianne of St. Charles, IL. She was Nana to her beloved grandchildren Zachary Haugh, Madison and Andrew Tanner and Jordan Wright. And she was “Aunt Piss” to niece Lindsay Jackson Church and nephews Charlie, Richard and Daniel Jackson.
A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
