Phyllis Dabbs Young, age 70 of Charlotte passed away September 3, 2013 at her residence. A service to celebrate her life will be at 12:30PM Friday, September 6th in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (11:30:12:30) at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
Mrs. Young was born November 29, 1942 in Mecklenburg County, was a member of Purcell United Methodist Church and retired from Oscar Mayer (Kraft Foods) as an executive secretary after 35 years.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Tony Young, sons, T. R. Young and wife, Lisa and Mike Young and wife, Missy all of Charlotte, grandchildren, Kelly Dixon and husband, Evan, Cody Young, and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Darrell Young.
