Born in Nuremburg, Germany on June 30, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Heinrich and Margarete Legenfelder Wilbert.
At one time, Pia had worked as a printer for the Denney Reyburn Co. in Cleveland, Ohio.
Preceding her death was her husband, Lacy Scott, whom she met during WWII; a son, Quentin Henry Scott and a granddaughter, Tina.
Surviving are her daughters, Ruth Adriano and Sheila Carroll of Charlotte, NC; 4 grandchildren, Alex, Jody, Quentin and Amanda; 3 great grandchildren, Keesha, Alexandra and Preston and a great-great grandson, Avery.
Services are planned for 12:00 pm Thursday, May 26, 2016 at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262 where friends may visit from 10 am to 12 pm. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
