Rachel was married to Charles Walker Dulin for 49 loving years. She will always be remembered
and missed by her children, C W Dulin (Bobby), Hamp Dulin (Becky), Hood Dulin (Carole),
Rick Dulin (Robin), 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rachel was predeceased in death by her parents, Roxie and Ambrose Martin; husband, Charles; siblings, Tom, Sue, Dewitt, Hamp, Lucille, Callie, Buddy, Virginia, Donald and Jimmy.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition, she worked for Charlotte
Mecklenburg School System as a Cafeteria Manager for many years. She was a godly woman and an active member of Arlington Baptist Church for 40 plus years, seniors choir member and Daughters of Ruth Sunday School class. She was also a member of the Home Ext. Club of Mint Hill. Rachel loved all the grandbabies and spending time with them brought her great joy in life! She probably rocked
those babies on her porch swing for hundreds of hours while singing, Sing Little Birdie Sing and then she would say, now listen, do you hear the birdies singing? Traveling was something Rachel enjoyed and she did so as long as she was able. Rachel enjoyed her independence way into her 90’s. She liked her coffee HOT, had a valid driver license and was always up for a trip to anywhere, member of the Showmar’s 90’s club for 7 years and went at least once a week where I am sure they knew her by name.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, July 12th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Arlington Baptist Church, 9801 Arlington Church Road, Mint Hill, NC. The service will be held in the Life Center. Graveside service to follow Immediately after at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arlington Church Building Fund, Mint Hill, NC.
The family would also like to say a sincere thank you and appreciation to Harris Hospice.
