Ralph William Correll, II “Rusty” Mr. Correll, age 53, of Charlotte, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. Born January 13, 1958 in Charlotte, he was the son of the late Ralph W. Correll and Faye Propst Correll. Mr. Correll had been employed with Duke Energy for over 30 years. He retired as a Nuclear Supply Chain Manager of its Catawba Nuclear Station. Mr. Correll loved riding his Harley Davidson and spending time at the beach. He was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. The service to celebrate the life of Ralph “Rusty” William Correll, II will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service - Derita Chapel. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. Ricky “Wahoo” Epps, Terry Hill, Todd Markham, Jeff Reynolds, Gary Stephens and Robert “Big Rob” Walters will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Correll; son, Ralph W. Correll, III of Charlotte; two sisters, Wanda Kelly and her husband, Alan, of Nogales, AZ and Brenda Namiranian and her husband, Mike, of Central, SC; and many special friends in Charlotte and Myrtle Beach. In addition to his parents, Mr. Correll was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Correll. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078 or to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203. Debbie, I was so surprised to get the call about Rusty. I am so sorry for your loss. Mom sold her home and while we were doing the clean out, I was thinking about all of the kids from Hunter Acres. We did have some great times. Rusty was always smiling and had a kind word. You and your family are in my prayers.
