Born in San Pedro, CA, on October 7, 1935, a son of the late Cypriano and Clemencia Weinstein, he was raised in the Philippines during WWII and retired as a jeweler from the former Garibaldi and Bruns.
He served in the US Navy from July 1954 thru June 1958, and received an Honorable discharge. He was an avid bowler with the Swinging Seniors and a fan of the Dodgers, NY football Giants, Mets and Panthers.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie Weinstein; 3 sons, Irv Weinstein, Dave Weinstein and wife, Jackie and William Weinstein; siblings, Ela Grove and husband, Stephen, Linda Grimm, Barbara Shepis and husband, Gary, George Weinstein and Ronald along with 2 grandsons, Zachary and Jared. A brother, William Weinstein preceded him in death.
McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269, is handling the services with burial to be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
