Mrs. Shepherd, age 69 of Charlotte passed away Thursday September 8, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Cabarrus County daughter of Reath Haney Perry and the late Jeremiah Perry and was owner of Great Clips for Hair. The family will receive on Saturday September 17, 2011 from 2:30 P.M. to 3:30 P. M. at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212, with a service to follow at 3:30 in the chapel conducted by Reverend Fleet Kirkpatrick. Refreshments will follow the service. In addition to her mother of Charlotte she is survived by her husband Stephen R. Shepherd, two sons Matthew F. Shepherd and his wife Byrdena of Winston-Salem, NC and Scott Shepherd and wife Rachelle of Washington, DC, brothers, Ernie Perry, Irvin Perry, Coleman Perry all of Charlotte and Alan Perry of Wilmington, NC, a sister Betty Cunning of Charlotte and 5 grandchildren Darian, Haley, Leah, Chase and Cameron Shepherd.
