

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reba Ann Wilson, who left us peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on March 21, 1936, in Wadesboro, North Carolina, Reba embodied a spirit of warmth and kindness that touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.
Reba was the cherished daughter of William John Hankins and Mary Reba Canipe Hankins. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her sister Libby Hartline, her brother Bill Hankins, and her dear niece Elizabeth Ann Hartline. Despite her losses, Reba's resilience and love for her family remained steadfast throughout her life.
As a proud 1954 graduate of Fayetteville High School, Reba’s years were marked by a deep commitment to education and community. She was not only celebrated as a Homecoming Queen but also brightened the lives of those around her through her involvement in the local swim team. Her laughter and joy were infectious, creating bonds that would last a lifetime.
Reba's greatest joy in life came from her family. She is survived by her three children: Tina Bobrowski (Robert), Pam Fisher (David), and David Wilson. Her legacy continues through her six beloved grandchildren: Lauren Bobrowski (Jered Cundiff), Mia Burdt (Billy), Luke Bobrowski (Mary Adams), Alex Fisher, Benjamin Fisher, and Monica Wilson (Tristian). She also leaves behind her cherished nieces Katie Gay (Larry), Kelli Hartline, and nine great-grandchildren who will carry forward her love and spirit.
Reba was known for her spontaneous laughter, unconditional love, and deep appreciation for beauty in all forms. She found delight in the simple pleasures of life—watching birds and squirrels from her sun porch, predicting winners on "The Voice," and generously baking treats for family and friends who visited her home. Reba always ensured that no one left empty-handed, sending food home with visitors as a symbol of her love and care.
A special mention must be made of her lifelong friendship with Susan Goetz. These two shared countless years filled with laughter, tears, and endless conversations, understanding the true value of time and friendship as they grew older together. Their bond was a testament to the love and support that friendship can provide through life's journey.
Reba's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11am at McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel, located at 10500 Park Road in Charlotte, NC. All who knew and loved Reba are invited to join in celebrating her remarkable life.
Burial immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery located at 4426 Central Avenue in Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Reba's honor to VIA Health Partners, located at 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226.
Reba Ann Wilson lived a life full of love, laughter, and an enduring commitment to her family and friends. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind, reminding us of all the beauty of love and connection. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
