Renata, 76, was born in Germany. She immigrated to the US with her parents, the late Karol Faryna and Berta Faryna.
She graduated from Uniondale High School on Long Island, NY. After working for the phone company she married the late Gene Vogeli, and devoted her life to raising her children and creating a beautiful home. After her divorce from her first husband she worked for Mutual of Omaha. She would continue to work for them for over 40 years.
On October 23, 1982 she married the love of her life, Andrew Aragona, who preceded her in death on May 31, 2007. They moved to Charlotte in 1992, and then moved to Indian Land, SC in 2000.
The joy of Renata’s life was her family. She is survived by her brothers, Karl and Gary, and preceded in death by her sister, Debbie.
The love of her children, Tracey, Kerry (Richie), Kyle and Cary (Robin); her 5 beautiful granddaughters, Alyssa (Cody), Danielle, Brooke, Emma and Raena; and her 2 great-grandchildren, Ava and Brooks, was enormous.
Visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Home - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210, US, on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212, US, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 12:00 noon.
