Richard "Frankie" F Hunter Sr.

Frank, 75, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Hospice of Union County surrounded by his children.

Born June 26, 1943 in Charlotte, he was a son of the late John Frank and Christine (Love) Hunter. Following graduation from Myers Park High School, Frank began his lifetime career in the automotive industry.

As a Charlotte native, Frank had a large circle of close friends and loved his Carolina Tarheels and Panthers. A perfect day for Frank would include basketball, football, George Jones tunes, and spending time with his loving family.

He is survived by his children, Scott Hunter (Danielle) of Waxhaw, NC, Richard Hunter Jr of Charlotte, NC and Lyndsey Kissiah (Jeff) of Indian Land, SC; and three beloved grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan Hunter, and Aaron Kissiah.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Christine Hunter and his brother, John Wesley Hunter.

A Celebration of Frank's life will be held at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 3 - 6 pm.

Frankie and my husband were friends when we met. He was with us when we got married and I have never laughed so hard in my life. Snatch had been to the hospital and Pineville rehab to see a few days a week. Hate that we didn't know that he passed away. Just found out today.
