Rita K. Hart

The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 9 at Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 10 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with interment following at Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews.

Rita was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, James P. Hart; parents, Charles and Rose Kaercher; and brothers, Charles and Donald Kaercher of Bethlehem. Rita was a homemaker residing in Wurzburg, Germany, Roslyn, Pennsylvania, Endicott, NY and Charlotte, NC.

Rita is survived by four children; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren as follows: James Hart, Jr. of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and children Katie, James, Charles and Anna and great-grandchild Thomas; Cindy Hart, daughter Jennifer and great-grandchild Delilah of Charlotte; Constance Wozniak and husband John of Millington, NJ and children Mary Bridget, John Jr. and Brandon; Dennis Hart and wife Jacqueline of New London, NC and children Corey, Jackson, Megan and Grace.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of her husband to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive Charlotte, NC 28215 or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
