To the family of Douggie I was so sorry to hear about his passing. We grew up together with Douggie and Roger …. living just down the street from their family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Doug and I met in our early 20's when we worked together at (Sonny's BBQ) We were friends at first then had a 3 year relationship. He was a sweet gentle soul. He introduced me to his world of music (Deep Purple, The Doors, Moody Blues, Cream etc. . He liked taking walks and listening to music and appreciated nature. He showed me how to slow down and take notice of things. He was easy going and liked things to be simple. I will always think about him, I have even after all these years. Until we meet again ❤️

I will always remember when Doug turned me on to the band Queen. It was one of his favorites. When we were at Albemarle Rd Jr High he walked to the Record Bar at Eastland Mall and bought me the album with We Are The Champions on it. I have been a Queen fan ever since. My mom was not thrilled but I was. We kept in touch after High School for a while. He and my husband worked together at Sonny’s BBQ. Doug had a HUGE heart. I hope to see him again.
Praying for his family. 😇🙏🏻
