Born in New York City on March 2, 1939 to Robert H. and Maxine Montgomery Coleman, Robert worked as a welder in Charlotte. He was a well-known lover of dogs.
Left to mourn his loss is his beloved wife Patricia; daughters Debbie (Tim) Armstrong and Marie Coleman (David Manning); grandchildren Stephanie and Derrin Lail; great grandchildren Anderson Lail, Nic Bartlett, Clay Lail and Max Lail and sister Ruth Jaffre.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service is planned for 3pm on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte.
