Born in Charlotte, NC on May 8, 1972, he is the son of Veronica Shaw of Charlotte and the late Clyde Howie.
Robert, at one time, had owned and operated a landscaping business and he had been a bar manager.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his step-father, Rollie Shaw; two brothers, Shawn Howie and Paul Trusler Jr., both of Charlotte; a maternal grandfather, Maurice Woodfine of Stephenville, New Foundland, Canada; a nephew, Christopher Luca Howie and numerous aunts and uncles.
