A native of Charlotte, Mr. Nussman was born to the late Jesse Banks Nussman and Ruth Hartsell Nussman on June 26, 1928. He graduated from Harry P. Harding High School in 1946 and was a US Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War from 1950-1952.
Mr. Nussman was employed with Southern Railway as an electrician for 7 years. He retired as Plant Manager with ConBraco Industries after 41 years of service. Mr. Nussman also served on the Board of Directors at ConBraco for 14 years.
Mr. Nussman enjoyed boating on Lake Tillery, golfing and doing yardwork. He was a past member of Rolling Hills Country Club.
Survivors include four children, Tommy Nussman and wife, Kay, of Charlotte, Tony Nussman and wife Karen of Pageland, SC, Candy Nance and husband, Warren, of Indian Trail, Roger Nussman and wife, Julie of Charlotte; seven grandchildren, Chad Nussman and wife, Ashleigh, David Nussman and wife, Erin, Elizabeth Nance, Joseph Nance and wife Sandy, Justin Nance and wife Cari Willey, Emma Nussman and Banks Nussman; and three great grandchildren, Bradey Kate Nussman, Owen Nussman and Kayleigh Nussman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nussman was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Loretta Nussman, by a granddaughter, Aurelia Nussman and a brother, Jesse Banks Nussman.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24 in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22 at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte.
