Robert Earl Phillips

He was born August 25, 1939 in Durham, NC.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Sandra W. Phillips, his sons, Timothy Seth Phillips and John Barry Phillips; his brothers, Donald Nichols and wife Mary of Cape Carteret, NC, Bobby Nichols and wife Loretta of Danville, VA, his sister Ann Dales and husband, Gary of Danville, VA and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Catherine Yost Phillips.

The celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 1:00 PM in University City United Methodist Church 3835 West WT Harris Boulevard Charlotte, NC with Pastor Gail Werstlein officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
