Robert Jackson Ross Pulliam, also known as Boss Ross or Uncle Ross to many, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 1st, 2026 at his home in Charlotte, NC. Ross grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, prior to attending college at the University of South Carolina, much to his biological brothers’ dismay, but to the benefit of so many friendships and brotherhoods he would form there.
Ross’s hobbies centered around mediocrity, mainly watching South Carolina Athletics and pretending he was actually good at golf, going as far as putting left- handed to try and fix his putting stroke.
Ross will always be known for giving his unsolicited and unfiltered opinions and views, even though you may have never asked for it, unfortunately for us, he was usually right.
More importantly, Ross will be remembered for his loyalty and serving as a protector to his friends and family that he loved so much. Ross was the friend and brother that would save you from a poor decision. However, Ross would also make sure you knew how poor your decision was. Ross did this out of the abundance of love he had for those close to him.
While the loss of Ross has affected us all, we take comfort in the memories we all have with Ross that will last a lifetime.
Ross is survived by his mother, father, two brothers and their wives, three nephews, and his beloved dog, Cheyenne.
