

Robert “Bob” Boyd Weaver, Sr., 91, of Charlotte passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at his home in Charlotte. He was born on September 19, 1924 in Manheim, PA and was the son of the late Ernest and Lulu Boyd Weaver.
Bob was an excellent tractor mechanic who travelled throughout NC and other areas to repair tractors. He was the best in his trade in both tractor and industrial equipment.
He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. He was also a member of the American Legion, Paw Creek Post 353.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Betty Jean Keistler Weaver.
Those left to cherish his memory are his four children, Patsy Weaver Beacham, Robert B. Weaver, Jr., Deborah Jean Weaver Vasquez and husband Bob, Rodney Lee Weaver and wife Jamie. His ten grandchildren, Kimberly Beal, Angie Motsinger, Christine Weaver, Jennifer Weaver, Shannon Weaver, Tesa Vatcher, Jean Elyse White, Lee Weaver, Keagan Weaver and Logan Weaver and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Service, Reverend Danny Griffin presiding. Interment with military rites will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:00 to 1:45pm .
