Dana Osborne
March 28, 1963 – October 24, 2026
Rodney “Ronnie” Quinn, 66, and Dana Osborne, 63, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away together on the night of Saturday, October 24, 2026, while on their last ride together. They met at church more than 25 years ago and loved each other dearly for the rest of their lives.
Ronnie was born on March 11, 1960, in Charlotte to James and Nuvia Quinn, and grew up on the West Side of Charlotte. At 18, he began working as a plumber, and he built that trade into a successful career that he was proud of for the rest of his life. He was just a year away from retirement.
Ronnie was a hardworking man who would do anything for anyone. He was the friend who always picked up the phone and would drop whatever he was doing to help. His true passion was motorcycles, especially antiques, and through his riding clubs he met some of his closest friends. A man of deep faith, Ronnie never started a ride without saying a prayer.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his son, James Quinn, who passed away from cancer at the age of 12. During James’s illness, Ronald McDonald House became a second home for the family, and Ronnie remained grateful for its care throughout his life. He is survived by his son, Rodney Quinn, and his sisters, Ivie Quinn Peck and Sheila Quinn King.
Dana was born on March 28, 1963, in Kansas City to Jerry and Carolyn Asbill. She graduated from Blue Valley High School, studied accounting in college, and had a career in accounting throughout her life. Dana’s faith in Christ was the foundation of her life. She may not have loved motorcycles the way Ronnie did, but she was always along for the ride. Dana had a rare way of making everyone around her feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Whether through her infectious laugh, her words of encouragement, or a quiet act of kindness, she made the world a brighter place. Her son called her his "Guardian Angel," and everyone who knew her remembers her as the kindest, sweetest lady, always ready to help however she could.
Dana is survived by her sons, Derek Lee Osborne and Tyler Michael Osborne; her parents, Jerry and Carolyn Asbill; and her siblings, Dan Asbill, Darla Zimmerman, and Damon Asbill.
