He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyte Christenbury and Hazel Swing Christenbury; his daughter, Ashley Dawn Christenbury; and his brother-in-law, Donnie Kee.
The oldest of five children, Glenn was born on May 1, 1948 in Charlotte, NC. He attended public schools in Charlotte and graduated from West Mecklenburg High School with the class of 1968.
Glenn’s entire career was spent working in construction, and he learned and exceled in many different industry roles over the years.
In his free time, Glenn enjoyed watching NASCAR, rooting for the Panthers, and going fishing with his buddies.
Those left to remember Glenn include his wife, Marsha Christenbury; his sisters, Connie Harris (Bill), Pamela McCall (Ronald), Alice Houser (Randy), and Lisa Kee; and his fishing buddy, Gary Perkins; as well as numerous other loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte.
The funeral service is to be conducted at 2:00pm, immediately following the visitation, in the Paul Helton Chapel at the funeral home.
The burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glenn’s name to East Baptist Church in Gastonia.
