Rose passed away on August 19, 2026 at the age of 82. Born in Munford, TN on September 13, 1943 to Arthur Scott and Mary Frances Rose. She grew up knowing what hard work was, and understanding the core values of family.
Rose met the first love of her life after barely one year in college, and excited to start a family soon married and had four children Janet, Jim, Bob and John. Through these children she had seven grandchildren Jimmy, Stephanie, Josh, Michael, Zach, Blake, and Robbie: nine great grandchildren Jaxon, Charlotte, Claire, Levi, Owen, Holly, Lindsey, Alex, and Tylor.
Rose was passionate about her faith and working with the church. She played the organ and directed the choir during service, her children all taking their part singing as well.
Rose loved her crossword books, puzzles, cooking, and sewing. It was common to find her curled up on the couch reading a novel with her four-legged furry friend beside her. She was our mother, mentor, and best friend. We fought and argued, we made up and loved. We learned from her, and she learned from us. She leaves a void that cannot be filled.
She is proceeded in death by her brother Larry, and survived by her sister Ann, and brothers Mark and Art. A special thank you to her good friend Alice, who helped her so much.
Rose was a strong supporter of both St. Jude Research Hospital for Children, and the Charlotte Rescue Mission. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to one of these charities.
