

Christine Johnson Chance. She went home to be with the Lord on July 27th, 2015. Ms. Ruby Jean Chance graduated from Phillis Wheatley
High School, in San Antonio, Texas. She attended St. Phillips College to obtain certification in Cosmetology and medical assistant.
In the year of 1978, Ms. Ruby Jean Chance was a dedicated and loyal employee at the San Antonio State Hospital. She retired in
2007with 29 years of service. After retirement she moved to Charlotte, NC. Ms. Ruby Jean Chance joined Word Life Center International
Church, in 2008. She loved the Lord and praising Him. You could catch her “raising the roof” in church displaying that
praise. Ms. Ruby Jean Chance was proud grandmother and mother. She brought her generosity, jokes, laughter, loving big heart, catchy
phrases and beautiful smile everywhere she went. Her nickname that characterizes some of these traits was “Sweet” Ruby Jean.
Ms. Ruby Chance always had sharing in mind when she came across anyone, (even if it was for the first time she met you). Some
of the sharing she did was of sharing God’s word. She always loved giving a scripture(s) out that she felt would assist you.
Left to cherish her memories of her life are her a child – a daughter, Tamara Holley; a son-in-law, Brian Holley, her two
grandchildren, BreShawn Holley and Brianna Holley; her childhood and best friend Velma Green of San Antonio, Texas and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Service to Celebrate her Life will be held 2:00pm Saturday, August 8, 2015 in The
Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. On-line condolences may
