Ruby Ruby Joyner Nesto

Ruby Joyner Nesto, age 82, of Charlotte, wife of the late Charles Joseph Nesto, passed away January 30, 2015. Born in Wilson, NC on September 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Mamie Joyner. Mrs. Nesto was a member of St. Ann’s Happy Timers Seniors group, and volunteered with the Knights of Columbus, Counsel 770 in Charlotte. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by 4 children; Charles Nesto(Susan) of Bronx, NY, William Nesto(Lucy) of Cortlandt Manor, NY, John Nesto of Charlotte and Rosemarie Whitley(Jack) of Huntersville, NC. 3 sisters; Mildred Such of Wilson, NC, Betty Bernecker of Macungie, PA and Shirley Strickland of Wilson, NC. 2 brothers; Ben Joyner of Texas and Elmer “Bud” Joyner of Wilson, NC. 6 grandchildren; Bernadette, Roselle, Charlie Jr., Michael, Antoinette and Brandon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte. Funeral Service to be held Thursday, 11 AM in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
