Didn't know him that well but he sure made an impression the first time I visited his Bar. What a sad day. He will be missed for sure.

Russell Craig was like my father , someone who i could trust,  a friend that for any reason would take the time to care.  He will be missed by many and then theres myself and a handful of others that will never forget such an amazing man, father and true friend. God Speed Buddy

RIP Russell.  I have so many memories of you and all the time I spent at Twin Oaks.  I met you when you owned the other bar on Hwy 150.  You were always a joy to be around and you watched out for the people you cared about.  My fondest memory is when Shbob and I had our wedding reception at Twin Oaks.  It was a surprise party and was supposed to happen at the Landing.  At the last minute the power went off.  You allowed the Landing staff to come in and take over the bar upstairs so the party could go on.  That was one of my best nights ever.  One night we stopped by and you found out it was our anniversary.  You came running out with frozen steaks and bacon as a gift.  You are a legend in this area and you will not be forgotten.

I met Russell in 2015. You would walk into his establishment and automatically be drawn to him. You just wanted to be his friend. I don't believe I ever heard a negative thing about him. He was always good to me and my friends. I'll never forget the time I got him with the fork trick. Some you don't know what that means but he does.  He had to dish out 20 bucks. I never saw him give anybody money. So it kind of made me feel special. See you on the other side my Brother.

You will be so missed. My daddy (Tony Hoard) and Russell had  went into partnership at The Pier Restaurant  many moons ago!! I hope daddy was one of the first you seen when you made it to heaven. You were always good to me! I wish I would have stopped by Twin Oaks to say hey more often.

Can’t forget Russell napping at the bar with money just laying around! And the Thanksgiving & Xmas dinners he did for everyone! We will never forget his generosity when the chips were down. If he liked u he’d help u. If not well, ur on ur own!! God bless u Russell for giving us a place to have a good time!! Lots of memories, lots of new friends! U will be remembered!👍😎

Oh Russell,  How far we go back. You were always there when someone needed something,  you always liked the song ,what a wonderful life, never forget you singing it. Rest easy my friend. 

Russell dated my mother in law, Helen.  He was always so kind and genuine with her and our whole family.  Prayers to Rusty and Lisa and John andto all of the twin oaks family. 
 



I met Russ, 12 years ago, while out celebrating  my birthday on Dec.5th at Horse Feathers. We stuck up a conversation, and discovered we shared the same birth date. He liked my cowboy hat, with Buffalo nickels on the head band. I gave Russ my hat on our last birthday meeting at Twin Oaks on his 69 and my 77th. We were going to pass it back and forth each birthday. Rest in peace  my good friend and thank you for being a special  friend. You are and will remain a GOOD MAN NO DOUBT.

I will miss Russell coming and getting lottery tickets and making me laugh every time I seen him you will definitely be in my prayers for the family rest in peace my friend

You will be missed by so many. One of my mother's oldest friends and one of my favorite people that smile was contagious and I will never forget all the memories. Love you Big Rus may you RIH🙏🏻

I still cant believe that I'm never going to hear you say, "Just havin fun girl, just havin fun" and laugh that laugh of yours! Or wake you from one of your infamous bar naps! I bet my Mom was surprised to see you so soon (if thats how it works). You two try to keep it down up there and we'll see ya again one of these days! My condolences to the family. Its an especially hard time to lose a loved one.

Russell is in some of my favorite memories, and anyone who knew him couldn't help but love him in their own way.  Know that the mark he left is a great one and has been left on so many lives and because of this he'll never really be gone.  I have a lot of memories of Russell, but the one thing that sticks out the most is how I watched him help so many people during their hard times, he was a giver with a heart of gold. If you ever met him you couldn't forget him and his big smile.  My deepest condolences to the family during this time. I pray GOD gives the family and all who knew Russell, the strength and comfort they need during this time.
