Born to James and Margaret Schumaker in Long Island, NY, she grew up with three sisters: Flo, Bernice and Peggy. She was married to Thomas McSweeney who passed away in 1996. She is survived by her daughters Kerry McSweeney and Kim Nathan, as well as her son-in-law Phillip Nathan and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation and Rosary Prayer will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2 – 4 PM at McEwen Funeral Home – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.
A Graveside service will be held at a later date at Holy Rood Cemetery, Oceanside, NY.
