A native of Vietnam, Mr. Van was born to Le Van and Lua Thi Tran on July 1, 1955. He worked as a mechanic at Highland Mills for 21 years and was employed the last 8 years at Star America, Inc.
Mr. Van is survived by his wife, Hieu Kim Chau of Charlotte; son, Vien Tri Van of Charlotte; sisters, Kien Van, Tam Van, Ngoc Van, Phuong Van, Hoa Van, Nhi Van, Chinh Van, Linh Van; brothers,Hum Van, Ho Van and Tuan Van.
A funeral service will be held 9:00 a.m., Thursday, January 23 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
