

The daughter of Joe David Turner, Sr. and Bright Ogburn Hoyle Turner, she was born August 13, 1944 in Charlotte. Sally graduated from Garinger High School in 1962, and married Jake Holland Taylor on July 20, 1963.
Sally was a faithful member of Cedars of Lebanon Baptist Church, and was employed with Security Forces, Inc. until her retirement in 2003. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband Jake Holland Taylor.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:30, Tuesday, September 20 at McEwen Funeral Service – Sharon Memorial Park, with Pastor Benny Helms officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest beside Jake. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday, September 19 at the funeral home.
Sally is survived by her daughters, Jill Taylor Epple of Matthews, Cheryl Taylor Carson and son-in-law Jesse of Monroe, and Kay Taylor Morrison of Charlotte, nine grandchildren, Randy Ayers and wife Amanda, J.J. Briceno, Landon Carson, Curtis Morrison, Kassie Morrison, Elena Briceno, Holland Carson, Shaye Morrison, and Taylor Epple, five great-grandchildren, Kristen, Kaylee, Kenzie and Kimberly Ayers, and Amaya Morrison. She is also survived by her siblings, Joe David Turner Jr. and wife Lisa, Bright Turner Caldwell and husband Wayne, Linda Turner Hanley and husband Michael.
