Samuel Robert Grice, 46, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his family, at his home on Monday, March 27, 2017. Robbie was born November 6, 1970 in Charleston, SC. He spent many years traveling across the United States with various show cars and hospitality rigs for NASCAR and NHRA teams. He fulfilled his career goal just last year when he became a transport driver with Action Express Racing. When home, Robbie owned Slot Shots Raceway and Hobby Shop in Stanley, NC. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Melissa Grice; parents Terry and Trudy Grice; grandmother Elizabeth Duckworth; brother J.J. Grice; loving in-laws, nephews, extended family, and a host of lifelong friends. Memorial service will be Friday, March 31, 2017 at Mulberry Baptist Church in Charlotte at 3pm. The family will receive friends preceding the service at 2pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Novant Hospice, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
