Samuel Krieger

Samuel (Pop Pop), passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in Atlanta, where he resided with his family. He was born May 13, 1932, in NY to the late Lewis and Yetta Krieger. He and his late wife, Evelyn Krieger, raised their family in Charlotte, NC where Evelyn's mother's family had lived.

Sam’s joy in life was his family. He was married for 62 years to the late Evelyn Krieger. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Being with his family always put a smile on his face. He was a long-time member of Temple Israel.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Krieger Steinberg (Mitch) and Debbie Krieger Gorst (David), all of Atlanta; seven beloved grandchildren: Marissa (Will), Matthew (Grace), Ansley (Dustin), Sydney, Alaina, Trevor and Kameron; great-grandchildren, Eason, Sophie and Madden; and brother, Carl Krieger. He is preceded in death by his twin brother, Irving Krieger.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, at 11 am in the chapel at the Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Ave., Charlotte.
