Sandra May Hogue Hogue Bridges

Sandra May Hogue Bridges, 69, affectionately known as "Nana" to her grandchildren, entered in to rest on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence. A native of New Castle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison Hogue and Dolores Irene Perry Hogue. She was a homemaker.

Surviving Mrs. Bridges is her husband of 50 years, Ken Bridges; her daughter, Anita Bridges Heidel (Clyde) of Charlotte; and a son, John Bridges (Amy) of Mint Hill. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Joshua Richard Heidel, Austin Paul Bridges, Kelly Ann Bridges, and Aaron Kenneth Heidel; three sisters, Darlene Gallo, Bonita Blood and Rhonda Trigg; a special niece, Tawnya Copeland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 1 PM until 2 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park. A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Bridges will be held at 2 PM in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park with the Rev. Earl Bradshaw officiating. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum at Sharon Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave, Charlotte, NC 28203.
