Sarah Thompson Fulk

She was born November 8, 1927 in High Point, North Carolina the daughter of the late Bessie Pauline Hyatt and Edwin Beckwith Hough. Sarah was a long time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Charlotte and was an avid gardener and thoroughly enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers and plants.

Surviving are her sons, Gary K. Thompson and John W. Thompson Jr. (Sue); stepson, Charles Thomas Fulk; grandchildren, Carey T. Smith, Jennifer T. Miller and Ben Thompson; Three great grandchildren; Two great great grandchildren; sisters, Betty H. Sullivan (Frank), Nancy H. Lee (Bobby), Nannie H. Rorie (Jerry), Patricia Smith (Rod); sister-in-law, Louise Hough; stepdaughter-in-law, Sondra M. Fulk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, John W. Thompson Sr. and James L. Fulk Sr., a sister Margaret H. Lanier, one brother, Edwin Hough and a stepson James L. Fulk Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 101 Colville Road, Charlotte, NC 28207. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:30pm prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
