Born in Rockingham, NC on July 30, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Kathleen Jordan Oakes. She was a graduate of Rohanen High School in East Rockingham and attended Piedmont Community College.
As a secretary, she had worked for many local trucking companies and most recently Barnhart Manufacturing.
A Pentecostal by faith, Mrs. Small had a deep love for her Lord. She enjoyed music and needle work and will be greatly missed by her family whom she dearly loved.
Surviving is her husband of 45 years, James Reginald Small.
