Scott grew up in Charlotte and moved to Lincoln County in April of 2007. Scott was employed by the same company for nearly 31 years (Core & Main of Charlotte). His work family provided years of prayers and support as he battled many health issues. In 2002, Scott was diagnosed with a brain tumor that began his nearly 16 year battle with cancer.
Scott was a wonderful brother, father, grandfather and friend to all. He understood the importance of family and true friendship. His amazing, quick-witted sense of humor will be missed by all and he will always remain in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father Jack Howard Manley, and mother Jean Sellers Manley. He is survived by his daughter Nicole Manley (husband, Christopher Boggs), daughter Samantha Blum (husband, Michael), granddaughter Charlotte (Charlie) Boggs, grandson Nicholas Blum, brother, Jack C. Manley (wife, Joann) sister Cheryl Wells (husband, Jeff) and many cousins, nephews, aunts and uncles.
