Scott McKendrick Shelton, 59, of Charlotte, passed away on September 15, 2026. Born June 14, 1967 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Bonnie Hucks Quick and the beloved husband of Masey B. Shelton.
Scott was a graduate of Myers Park High School and built a career in the career in the community as the owner and president of Charlotte Comfort Systems. He was member of Phalanx Lodge 31 and the Gaston Country Club.
An avid golfer, Scott enjoyed trips to the Caribbean and NC mountains. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and playing cards.
In addition to his wife Masey, Scott is survived by his son, Levi (Brittany) Shelton; brother, Craig (Jerry) Shelton; granddaughters, Lydia, Henley, and Ophelia; nieces, Shannon Brumbalow, Heather (Gary) Jordan, Alexa Mooney, Katie Willhelm, and Sara (Justin) Gray; nephews, Elijah Como and Ethan Como.
In addition to his mother, Scott was preceded in death by his sisters, Sandy Willhelm and Christy Brumbalow-Mooney and nephew, Jude Como.
A celebration of Scott's life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
