Sharon Norris Phillips

Sharon was born December 13, 1959 in Charlotte, NC, a daughter of Lester James Norris and Frankie Delana Chapman Norris.

An avid bingo player, Sharon was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and Moose Lodge 1113.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Phillips whom she married August 22, 1985.

Also surviving are two daughters, Delana Phillips at home and Lisa Cole and her companion, Calvin Scercy of Concord, NC, along with two grandsons, Brandon Alexander Scercy and Joshua Eugene Scercy.

Other survivors include her twin-sister, Charon Parker of Hickory, NC and two brothers, Jimmy Norris and his wife, Debbie and Ronald Norris and his wife, Pamela, all of Charlotte, NC and a very special friend, Jenny Murphy.

Two step-sons, William Chad Phillips and his wife, Michelle of Mt. Holly, NC and Christopher Shane Phillips of Charlotte also survive.

Preceding her in death was a step-son, Jamie Allen Phillips.

Services are planned for 11:00 am Saturday, March 29, 2014 at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262. Friends may visit Friday evening at the funeral home where the family will be present from 7 to 9 pm.

Burial will take place in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
