Sharon Roberts

Sharon Lee Aponick Roberts, age 67, of Charlotte, NC passed unexpectedly on January 26, 2018 from flu complications while surrounded by her family. Sharon was born in Shenandoah, PA February 24, 1950 to Wasil E. and Elizabeth Aponick.

Sharon graduated from Rutherford High School, Panama City, FL. She started working for Southern Bell in 1968 and retired from AT&T in 2008. She loved to travel especially to St. Maarten and the Bahamas where you could find her in the casinos playing three-card poker or black jack.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Wasil and Elizabeth Aponick, and her sister, Sally Ann Aponick.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Donald P. Roberts; her sisters Patricia Mohr of San Antonio, TX, and Barbara Deusterman (Paul) of Peoria, AZ; nephews John Mohr (Aimee) of Boston, MA, and Aaron Munro of Phoenix, AZ; nieces Stacey Mohr Schuetze (Joseph) of San Antonia, TX and Megan Munro of Phoenix, AZ; great-nieces Sydney and Ashley Mohr, Brooklyn Munro, and Sadie Schuetze; and great-nephew Caleb Schuetze; also surving are brother-in-law Bill Roberts (Tammy) of Sedro Woolley, WA and sister-in-law Gwen Roberts Frickhoeffer (Buddy) of Charlotte, NC; and several other nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service was held for family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society.
